PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a driving state of a rotated body with a simple constitution.SOLUTION: The drive switching mechanism comprises: a first drive transmission element array 11 for transmitting a driving force from a drive source 16; a second drive transmission element array 12 connectable to the first drive transmission element array 11 and transmitting the driving force to a rotated body 17; a third drive transmission element array 13 provided through between the first and second drive transmission element arrays 11, 12; an intermittent element 14 interposed between the first and second drive transmission element arrays 11, 12 and connecting or disconnecting a drive transmission path according to energization; and a rotation inhibition element 15 interposed at one part of the third drive transmission element array 13, allowing a follow-up rotation operation and selecting a drive transmission path different from the drive transmission path blocked by the intermittent element 14 under a condition that the intermittent element 14 blocks the drive transmission path, and inhibiting the follow-up rotation operation and selecting the drive transmission path connected by the intermittent element 14 under a condition that the intermittent element 14 connects the drive transmission path.
