1. A method of assembling a medical device, the method comprising:
forming two or more bends in a proximal portion of an introducer sheath; and disposing an embolic coil within the introducer sheath such that the embolic coil extends within the two or more bends formed in the proximal portion of the introducer sheath, wherein at least a portion of the embolic coil frictionally engages the two or more bends so as to secure the embolic coil within the proximal portion of the introducer sheath. |
