PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device that can accurately irradiate a fluorescent material with excitation light and make variations in luminance and chromaticity due to an angle of field of a projected image inconspicuous.SOLUTION: A projection type display device includes a light source 11, projectors 1 to 3, a Fresnel lens 4 on which rays of excitation light emitted from the projectors 1 to 3 are made incident, a lenticular lens 5 that collects the rays of excitation light from the projectors 1 to 3 emitted from the Fresnel lens 4 into a light collection point determined for each of the projectors 1 to 3, and a screen 30 that is arranged at each of the light collection points determined for each of the projectors 1 to 3, and has R, G, and B fluorescent materials 6a, 6b, and 6c each converting the rays of excitation light collected by using the lenticular lens 5 into rays of visible light R, G, and B and emitting the rays of visible light. |
