PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an Al-Li based alloy with a lithium component content stabilized, effective for obtaining an excellent metallic structure in which the intrusion of impurities is reduced.SOLUTION: The method for producing an Al-Li based alloy is characterized in that casting is performed using a molten metal having: a step of dissolving aluminum or an aluminum alloy other than lithium into a casting crucible made of chromium based steel in which at least the part with which molten metal is contacted is as-cast; and a step of adding and dissolving lithium or an aluminum-lithium master alloy in an inert gas atmosphere inert to lithium. |
