A cell structure for a fuel cell stack (FS) obtained by stacking unit cells (C) configured so that a membrane electrode assembly (1) is sandwiched by a pair of separators (2), wherein: the membrane electrode assembly (1) has a enclosing frame (3) having a size so as to extend outward beyond the peripheral edges of each of the separators (2); through-holes (21, 22) that extend between the obverse and reverse sides of the frame (3) are provided to the frame (3) over a distance from a seal part (11) for a pair of frames (3) that are adjacent to each other in the cell stacking direction, up to a seal part (12) for the membrane electrode assembly (1) and the separators (2); air in the space (Q) formed between the inner and outer seal parts (11, 12) is channeled to the exterior through the through-holes (21, 22); and the adhesive that forms the seal parts (11, 12) is prevented from breaking. |
