PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment device capable of reducing heat loss and appropriately maintaining an effective chimney height.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas treatment device 1 comprises: an exhaust gas channel 11 continuous from a boiler 10 to a chimney 20; a combustion air channel 12 continuous from a blower 30 to the boiler 10; a heat exchanger 40 decreasing a temperature of exhaust gas in the exhaust gas channel 11 and increasing a temperature of combustion air in the combustion air channel 12; a bypass channel 13 bypassing the heat exchanger 40 from the blower 30 and merging with the combustion air channel 12; and a controller 50 controlling an amount of bypass air flowing into the bypass channel 13 and an amount of heat exchange air flowing into the heat exchanger 40. The controller 50 detects a temperature of the exhaust gas flowing in the chimney 20, and controls the amount of the bypass air and the amount of the heat exchanger air on the basis of the detected temperature. |
