PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system capable of easily changing the number of secondary batteries while reducing imbalance of terminal voltage among a plurality of secondary batteries, and a battery block used for such power supply system.SOLUTION: A battery block 2 used for a power supply system 1 configured by using a plurality of battery blocks 2 comprises: a secondary battery B; a communication circuit 41 for acquiring voltage information output from another battery block 2 as other voltage information; a communication circuit 41 for externally outputting minimum voltage information of voltage information on terminal voltage Vt of the secondary battery B and the other voltage information; and a discharge control unit 43 for discharging the secondary battery B of the battery block when own voltage that is the terminal voltage Vt of the secondary battery B of the battery block is higher than terminal voltage shown by the other voltage information.
