The invention relates to a machine for weaving (10) or winding (20) a fibrous preform (28) onto a mandrel having a substantially horizontal axis of rotation (30) and intended to accept same, comprising a plurality of cameras (42) aimed under the fibrous preform in order to scrutinize the hidden face of the fibrous preform and capture images of this hidden face; an image analysis module (40) for processing these images of the hidden face of the fibrous preform, in a number of adjacent scrutinizing windows, extract weaving patterns therefrom and compare same against reference weaving patterns prerecorded in the module; a motor (34, 36) for driving the mandrel in rotation about the axis of rotation of same; and a control unit (40) for halting the rotation of the mandrel if the result of the comparison reveals, in at least one scrutinizing window, a difference in appearance between these two weaving patterns that is characteristic of the presence of an anomaly resulting from contamination in and/or defective weaving of the fibrous preform. |
