PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery which is superior in charge-discharge cycle performance, and arranged so as to suppress the battery expansion when manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte battery.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a nonaqueous electrolyte with boric acid and diphosphorus pentaoxide added thereto. According to the arrangement like this, the battery expansion when manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte battery can be suppressed. Also, it is possible to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery superior in charge-discharge cycle performance. The boric acid is a very cheap material. Therefore, what is made possible is not only to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery at low cost, but also to bring about a distinctly outstanding effect in comparison to other borate compounds. |
