PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery in which elution of metal is hard to occur at an edge part of a positive electrode active material layer.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 100 includes a positive electrode sheet 220 equipped with a positive electrode active material layer 223 on an oblong positive electrode collector 221. In the positive electrode active material layer 223, one edge part in width direction orthogonal to length direction of the positive electrode collector 221 is provided with a non-coating part 222, while the other edge part is formed in such a manner as substantially non-coating part 222 is not provided. The positive electrode active material layer 223 includes an additive element containing region R1 which uses a positive electrode active material 310a prepared by adding at least one kind of metal element, excluding elements constituting a main component, to the main component of lithium transition metal compound oxide, and a non-additive element containing region R2 which uses a positive electrode active material 310b that is prepared by adding no metal element to the main component of the lithium transition metal compound oxide. The non-additive element containing region R2 is provided to an edge part 225 on the side where the non-coating part 222 is formed in the positive electrode active material layer 223. |
