摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the deterioration of fuel atomization and suppress the deterioration of fuel economy in a cold condition in which the a temperature condition of an engine is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature and in a high load condition in which the load condition of the engine is equal to or larger than a predetermined load.SOLUTION: A controller (engine controller 100), in a cold condition in which the temperature condition of an engine body (engine 1) is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature and in a high load condition in which the load condition of the engine body is equal to or larger than a predetermined load, supplies fuel into a cylinder through a fuel supply mechanism (fuel injection valve 53 and fuel supply system 54) when the cylinder 11 is in an intake stroke and in a compression stroke. Further, the controller sets the upper limit value of charging efficiency of the engine body lower as the evaporation rate of the fuel supplied into the cylinder is lower.
