Disclosed is a portal authentication method comprising: after receiving an HTTP request sent by the user terminal, a portal server sends an information query message to a Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) currently accessed by a user terminal; the BNG collects the information of the user terminal according to the information query message sent by the Portal server, and feeds the collected information of the user terminal back to the Portal server by a response message.
