The invention relates to a medical apparatus for emergency interventions in case of persons' choking on food or swallowing objects which cannot be eliminated, with a view to clearing the airways. According to the invention, the apparatus consists of a metal framework (1) on which a plate (2) is fixed, a mobile plate (3) being articulated thereto by some hinges (4) and being provided with two upper buffers (5) and, in the vicinity thereof, with an orifice (6) in front of which there is a strap (7) for supporting a patient's head, an axle (8) being mounted in some bearings (9), at one end of the mobile plate (3), with two bolts (10), fastened thereon by some screws, to which some rolling bearings (11) are frontally fixed, a crank (12) being also fixed to the said axle (8). |
