The invention relates to cellulose chemistry, in particular, to a process for producing reactive cellulose in wide use as a feedstock in polymerization with other monomers and in other branches. The cellulose is activated in the following way: ground cellulose is treated with aqueous solution of sodium carbonate of 1-7% concentration. After drying at 100-105°C for 90 minutes the treated cellulose is fed to milling for 6-7 minutes, providing to maximum the increase crystalline structure of macromolecules and fibrous cellulose structure. Due to milling the macromolecular and fibrous cellulose structure is destroyed and the obtained bulk cellulose powder acquires high reactivity, particle cellulose sizes are 10-320 mkm. The yield of the activated cellulose is 96,94 wt %. The obtained cellulose powder was used in (co)polymerization with acrylic acid and acrylamides. |
