Example embodiments disclosed herein relate to backing up firmware. An operating system can be initialized. During the initialization process, memory can be set. The firmware can be backed up to storage based on the set memory.

1. A computing device comprising:
a first non-volatile memory including firmware; an initialization module to initialize an operating system, wherein during the initialization process, the initialization module sets a flag to backup the firmware; a boot module to boot the computing device via a boot process based on the firmware in the first non-volatile memory; and a backup module to backup the firmware to a second non-volatile memory during the boot process if the flag has been set.
