The invention relates to a portable communication device (26) including a processor (26a) and application software for managing data relating to a maintenance or service checks of multiple distributed machines (10), e.g. wind turbines, a database (26b) storing position coordinates of the distributed machines (10) to be checked and positioning means (26c) for determining the position coordinates of the portable communication device (26). It is proposed the application software is configured to identify the machine (10) being checked based on a comparison of the position coordinates of the distributed machines (10) with the position coordinates of the portable communication device (26), and to select machine-specific machine service information relating to the identified machine (10). |
