[Problem] To provide a hard-to-fall self-propelled mower which has a relatively simple structure and an adjustable mowing width, is usable for a curved slope face, and enables a pruning operation at a high altitude. [Solution] A self-propelled mower is configured from a self-propellable traveling body in which at least one of a storage battery, a power generator and an engine is built, and a plurality of mowing units each for cutting grass by the reciprocating motion or rotational motion of a movable blade by an electric motor or an engine built therein. The electric motor uses the storage battery or the power generator as a power source, the mowing unit is installed to project on the front surface of a projecting blade which retractably projects sideward from the front surface of the traveling body and the side surface of the traveling body and has a variable projection length, and this self-propelled mower is suspended from a straddle-type traveling body traveling on a guide rail installed on the top of slope of an embankment via a suspension rope or hung from an overhead cable stretched in the air. |
