<p>Provided are an endoscope hood and an endoscope comprising the endoscope hood which enable accurate observation of an object to be observed inside a body. An endoscope hood (100) comprises a transparent cover body (101) and a cover support (103). The transparent cover body (101) is a component that is disposed on the front of an imaging light entrance window (92) on a distal face (91a) of an insertion part distal end (91) and is a disc-shaped glass material (for example, quartz) through which light passes having an external shape that is larger than the imaging light entrance window (92). The cover support (103) is a component for fixing the transparent cover body (101) to the insertion part distal end (91) with a front face (101a) of the transparent cover body (101) positioned inside the depth of field (DOF) of an imaging optical system (93). The cover support (103) forms a gap (B), with a gap forming body (104) that is formed on an inner periphery, between a rear face (101b) of the transparent cover body (101) and the imaging light entrance window (92), and forms a water film (WF).</p> |
