Disclosed are an audio encoding/decoding device using multi-channel audio codec and multi-object audio code and a method thereof. The audio encoding/decoding device comprises: multi-object audio encoding unit for down-mixing a sound object signal and a first down-mix signal which down-mixes input signals to produce a first down-mix signal and for encoding the sound object signal; a down-mix audio encoding unit for encoding the second down-mix signal; and a bitstream multiplex unit for multiplexing the bitstream which encodes the input signal, a bitstream which encodes the sound object signal and a bitstream which encodes the second down-mix signal to produce encoding bitstream.
