COOLER, COOLING DEVICE USING THE SAME, AND COOLING METHOD OF HEATING ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooler which has a simple structure and stably achieves good cooling effect.SOLUTION: A cooler includes: a container which stores a working fluid; and a cooling member which is provided in the container so as to contact with the working fluid and face a heating element. The cooling member is formed into a lamination structure composed of a first porous material provided at the heating element side and a second porous material provided at the working fluid side. The first porous material includes: a first working fluid supply part which supplies the working fluid to a contact part contacting with the heating element through a capillary phenomenon; and a first steam discharge part which discharges steam generated in the contact part to the second porous material side. The second porous material includes: a second working fluid supply part which supplies the working fluid to the first porous material; and a second steam discharge part which discharges the steam discharged from the first porous material to the working fluid. The second porous material is formed by a porous material having the working fluid penetration efficiency which is larger than that of the first porous material.
