PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger excellent not only in a frosting delay effect during a low-temperature heating operation but also in bridging inhibition effect of condensed water generated at a time of a normal heating operation.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger comprises: a pipe through which a refrigerant flows; and a plurality of fins each attached to the pipe and having a coating film formed on a surface thereof. The coating film has a stripe structure in which two or more hydrophobic portions and two or more hydrophilic portions are alternately arranged along a direction orthogonal to an air flow direction, and the hydrophobic portions and the hydrophilic portions of the coating films formed on the surfaces of the two opposing fins are arranged inversely with respect to each other.
