<p>An air conditioner of an embodiment is provided with: an outdoor unit which is provided with a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, and an electronic expansion valve; an indoor unit which is provided with an indoor heat exchanger; a refrigerant pipe which connects the outdoor unit and the indoor unit; and a control device which controls the compressor and the electronic expansion valve. An HFC single refrigerant is used as a refrigerant, a main thermistor is provided at an intermediate position of the refrigerant pipe in the indoor heat exchanger during a cooling operation and an auxiliary thermistor is provided at an inlet-side pipe position of the refrigerant pipe member therein to measure the temperatures at the respective positions, and the control device controls the degree of opening of the electronic expansion valve to the open side according to the characteristic of the HFC single refrigerant when the temperature difference of the auxiliary thermistor from the main thermistor during the cooling operation becomes greater than or equal to a predetermined reference value.</p> |
