PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle contact prevention system capable of suppressing a handle manipulation that possibly causes a contact of a vehicle with an obstacle while suppressing degradation in the operability of a steering wheel.SOLUTION: A vehicle contact prevention system for preventing a vehicle whose steering wheel 50 is manipulated by a driver from contacting an obstacle comprises: detection means 13 to 19 for detecting situations of obstacles present around the vehicle; risk determination means 31 for determining a risk of contact with each obstacle according to each direction around the vehicle on the basis of the situations of obstacles detected by the detection means 13 to 19; a motor 40 applying a reaction force to manipulation of the steering wheel 50; and reaction force control means 32 for controlling the motor 40 to repeatedly apply a pulsed reaction force in a cycle according to the risk of contact determined by the risk determination means 31 in the direction corresponding to a manipulation amount of the steering wheel 50. |
