PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging method of a control valve type lead acid storage battery in which, even when a large sized battery is used under PSOC control, life performance can be improved by achieving sufficient refresh effect.SOLUTION: As an object to be charged, a control valve type lead acid storage battery is used, equipped with a positive electrode plate whose distance between a central point of the lower end of a polar plate collector part and a point on the peripheral edge of a polar plate body which is the farthest from the central point is 20 cm or more, and when an accumulated electric discharge quantity related value which is a value related to the accumulated electric discharge quantity from the previous uniform charging exceeds a pre-set upper limit, the next uniform charge is made to have a uniform charging step in which the constant current charge is further performed after the constant voltage charge is carried out. |
