<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head cleaning mechanism which is applicable to a threading type magnetic tape device and achieves driving of a cleaning brush in a space-saving manner, and a magnetic tape device provided with the magnetic head cleaning mechanism.SOLUTION: The magnetic head cleaning mechanism includes: a threading arm 2 which makes a leader block 6 be engaged with a leader pin 8 and pulls the leader block 6 holding the leader pin 8; a magnetic head 5 which performs reading and writing of data on the magnetic tape; a brush link arm 1 which has a brush 3 on a tip end and is turnably supported; a cam gear 4 which is disposed more on a magnetic head 5 side from a threader track 9 being a conveyance path of the magnetic tape and drives the threading arm 2. The brush link arm 1 is located more on the magnetic head 5 side from the threader track 9 in a normal state, and when the leader block 6 is conveyed to the vicinity of the leader pin 8, the brush link arm 1 turns linked with a rotation of the cam gear 4, and makes the brush 3 abut on the magnetic head 5 on the threader track 9.</p> |
