PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify setting operations for establishing a communicative interconnection between a server computer and a client projector.SOLUTION: For establishing an interconnection between a server 20 and one of projectors 301 to 30n, the server 20 searches for a connectable projector among the projectors 301 to 30n by communication commands via UDP broadcast, then selects the projector 301 as a connection target and establishes the connection by assigning an IP address in the projector 301. As it becomes easy for a user to obtain a communicative interconnection environment between the server 20 and the projector 301 and input/output of image data, etc. is performed by TCP/IP communication commands, it is possible to secure reliable transmission. Also, by performing authentication using a keyword projected when the connection is established, it is possible to inhibit unauthorized access to the projector 301 by an outsider.
