PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system for illuminating a ceiling inside a cabin of an aircraft which illuminates the cabin effectively with a smaller number of illumination devices, and which contributes to improvement in fuel economy of the aircraft by reducing the total weight of the aircraft.SOLUTION: An illumination system 1 includes: illumination devices 4 provided along one side of an aisle P; and mirror reflection plates 5 provided along the other side of the aisle P and reflecting light emitted from the illumination devices 4 to the illumination devices 4 side. In this configuration, with only the illumination devices 4 on one side, the side on which the illumination devices 4 are provided can be illuminated as well. Thus, compared with the case where illumination devices are provided on both sides of the aisle P, a cabin can be effectively illuminated with a smaller number of illumination devices 4. Also, as the number of the illumination devices 4 can be reduced, the illumination system can contribute to the improvement in fuel economy of an aircraft AP by reducing the total weight of the aircraft AP. |
