<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED illumination device which is capable of obtaining illuminance substantially equal to a DC power source, of which the lifetime is prolonged and which is appropriate for utilization as a high-power illumination facility in a large-scaled institution.SOLUTION: An LED illumination device 1 comprises: three-phase full-wave rectifier circuits 5 connected to U-V, V-W and W-U phases of a three-phase AC power source 4 for full-wave-rectifying AC voltages of the phases, respectively; and a three-phase LED illumination circuit 3 connected to the three-phase full-wave rectifier circuits 5 and in which LED modules formed by serially connecting a plurality of LEDs are disposed proximately to each other. By supplying a DC voltage from the three-phase AC power source 4 through the three-phase full-wave rectifier circuits 5 to the three-phase LED illumination circuit 3 in a superimposed manner, at least any one of the plurality of LED modules forming the three-phase LED illumination circuit 3 is lighted on at all the time.</p> |
