<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture-absorbing and -desorbing polyester fiber package which has excellent fiber properties while having a high moisture-absorbing and -desorbing capacity and is excellent in fiber-forming properties and high-order passability.SOLUTION: A moisture-absorbing and -desorbing polyester fiber package is composed of a fiber which has a ratio of polyester to poly(N-vinyl lactam) of 97:3 to 75:25, an average dispersion diameter of the poly(N-vinyl lactam) in the fiber cross section of 500 nm or smaller in a microscopically dispersed state, a moisture absorption and desorption parameter (ΔMR) of 1.0% or greater, a strength of 2.0 cN/dtex or higher, a toughness of 15 or higher, an unevenness of size U%(n) of 1.5 or smaller, a color tone L value of 70 or greater and a color tone b value of 10.0 or smaller. The polyester fiber package has a yarn quantity of 2-15 kg, a saddle of 0-10.0%, a difference in elastic modulus between the inner and outer layers of 20.0% or smaller, a difference in boiled water shrinkage factor between the inner and outer layers of 1.5% or smaller and a bulge of 0-8.0%. The poly(N-vinyl lactam) is polyvinyl pyrolidone, and the polyester has a melting point of 255°C or lower.</p> |
