The invention relates to the field of oil production and can be used for operating wells equipped with electric submersible pumps having a variable-frequency drive. The present method involves the repetition of cycles, including pumping, finding the frequency at which delivery stops, and fluid accumulation. A pump assembly having a flow rate greater than the influx of fluid from the formation to the well is selected. The ratio of pumping time to accumulation time is adjusted in accordance with the operating results of previous cycles until the ratio of pumping time to accumulation time is stable. The torque at which delivery stops is determined on the basis of an abrupt drop in the amount of torque on the motor shaft at the point at which fluid delivery stops as the frequency of the supply voltage is decreased. The device comprises a pump assembly with a centrifugal pump and a submersible electric motor. The submersible electric motor is connected to a surface-based frequency converter and to a control device. The device comprises a matching transformer, a unit for determining frequency, current, torque and power, a communication unit, and a display and control unit. The above-mentioned elements of the device are electrically connected to one another. |
