<p>A liquid ejection apparatus (10, 10A, 100, 100A) incudes: a head (12, 112h) including: a nozzle (22) configured to eject liquid; a supply port (16, 116) to which the liquid is continuously supplied; and a recovery port (18, 118) from which the liquid is continuously recovered; a supply flow channel (42, 142c, 142i) through which the liquid is supplied to the head (12, 112h); and a recovery flow channel (46, 146c, 146i) through which the liquid is recovered from the head (12, 112h). The supply and recovery flow channels (42, 142c, 142i, 46, 146c, 146i) are laid out so as to satisfy a condition of: a flow channel resistance (R_CHANNEL_IN) of the supply flow channel (42, 142c, 142i) is larger than a flow channel resistance (R_CHANNEL_OUT) of the recovery flow channel (46, 146c, 146i) when a flow channel resistance (R_HEAD_IN) inside the head (12, 112h) from the supply port (16, 116) to the nozzle (22) is larger than a flow channel resistance (R_HEAD_OUT) inside the head (12, 112h) from the nozzle (22) to the recovery port (18, 118); R_CHANNEL_IN < R_CHANNEL_OUT when R_HEAD_IN < R_HEAD_OUT; an inertance (M_CHANNEL_IN) of the supply flow channel (42, 142c, 142i) is larger than an inertance (M_CHANNEL_OUT) of the recovery flow channel (46, 146c, 146i) when an inertance (M_HEAD_IN) inside the head (12, 112h) from the supply port (16, 116) to the nozzle (22) is larger than an inertance (M_HEAD_OUT) inside the head (12, 112h) from the nozzle (22) to the recovery port (18, 118); and M_CHANNEL_IN < M_CHANNEL_OUT when M_HEAD_IN < M_HEAD_OUT.</p> |
