<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition able to effectively prevent flaking of the rolling surfaces of a rolling bearing or the like caused by hydrogen embrittlement, excellent in high-temperature high-speed durability and able to be used for a long term, a grease-packed bearing in which the grease composition is packed, and a universal joint for propeller shafts in which the grease composition is packed. <P>SOLUTION: The grease-packed bearing 1 is equipped with an inner ring 2, an outer ring 3, and a plurality of rolling elements 4 and in which sealing members 6 for enclosing the grease composition 7 around the rolling elements have been disposed in both shaft-direction edge openings 8a, 8b of the inner ring 2 and the outer ring 3. The grease composition 7 comprises a base grease comprising a base oil and a thixotropic agent and an additive incorporated in the base grease. The aforesaid additive comprises at least one compound selected from plant-derived polyphenol compounds and decomposed compounds thereof and the blending ratio of the compound is 0.05-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the base grease. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
