[Classes 108 (ii) and 108 (iii)] The vehicle wheel-suspensions described in the parent Specification are modified so that the adhering plates of the rubber spring are connected to and carried by links which include the guiding link or links of the wheel. Fig. 3 shows an arrangement of wheel carried by a longitudinal link 9 to which the adhering plate 4 of the rubber spring 2 is secured by bolts 5. The other adhering plate 3 is integral with or is secured to a spring link 25 pivoted to the frame bracket 11 at 10<1>, the link 9 being also pivoted to the same bracket at 10. Fig. 5 shows a half-axle 9, the inner forked end of which is pivoted to the frame at 10 while a spring link 25 is pivoted at 10 and may be integral with the adhering plate 3. The other plate 4 is adjustably connected to the half axle 9 by a pressure screw 13 to determine the initial inclination of the half axle 9. Fig. 8 shows a pair of parallel links 9, 9<1> pivoted to the frame at 10, 10<1> . and having oppositely disposed extensions 8, 8<1> to which the adhering plates 3, 4 are secured. These plates 3, 4 have resilient extensions 14a, 14a<1> to form stops to limit excessive motion of the wheel. |
