<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter substantially transmitting a pushing force and a rotational turn applied from a proximal side of the balloon catheter to the distal side of the balloon catheter. <P>SOLUTION: This balloon catheter 10 includes a core wire 70 that is inserted into an outer shaft 30, is formed of a long wire rod including at least partially, a flat portion having a cross section which is long in the direction orthogonal to the axial direction, and has a twist section 72 formed by twisting the flat portion at a predetermined angle, and a distal flat section 71 located at the distal end side with respect to the twist section 72 and formed of a flat portion. This balloon catheter 10 includes: an engagement section 36c provided at the outer shaft 30 and coming into contact with the twist section 72; and a long hole section 36b that is provided at the distal end side with respect to the engagement section 36c of the outer shaft 30, in which the distal flat section 71 is inserted and which is formed of a hole that is long in the direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the outer shaft 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
