<p>The purpose is to provide a configuration provided with an adjustment mechanism (5) for enabling manual adjustment of a gap between a rotor (8) and each of an outer pad (2) and an inner pad (3) in a state where braking is not performed, such that the backlash in a screw engagement between an adjustment spindle (18) and an adjustment nut (19), which constitute the adjustment mechanism (5), can be prevented and the gap can be adjusted precisely. An adjustment gear (20) is fixed on a rotor-side end surface of the adjustment nut (19) concentrically with the adjustment nut (19). An adjustment spring (40) made of an elastic material is fixedly supported at a radially inner end portion of the inner pad (3). In this state, a pressing plate portion (44) of the adjustment spring (40) presses the adjustment gear (20) elastically in a radially outward direction. Along with this, an engagement protrusion (45) provided to the pressing plate portion (44) is caused to engage one (30) of a plurality of recesses (30, 30) formed in an outer circumferential surface of the adjustment gear (20).</p> |
