<p>Vertical storage system (10) for storing mattresses, including a plurality of vertically slidable platforms (40, 41, 42, 43, 44), a plurality of connecting members (60, 62, 64) slidably connected between the platforms (40, 41, 42, 43, 44) and a winch device (30-34, 36-38) connected to the uppermost platform (41). Lifting the uppermost platform (41) results in the raising of the next platform (42) beneath the uppermost platform (41) and so forth, lowering the uppermost platform (41) lowers all of the platforms (40, 41, 42, 43, 44) until the lowest platform (44) is at the bottom with the remaining platforms (40, 41, 42, 43) lowered until stacked upon one another. The attachement (80) of the winch (33, 34, 37, 38) to the upper platform (41) is adjustable. The platforms (40, 41, 42, 43, 44) have stoppers (45, 46, 47) to limit the depth of introduction of the mattresses.</p> |
