<p>According to the present invention, a mobile terminal with a removable sub-battery for preventing the mobile terminal from being lost and stolen comprises the mobile terminal, a removable sub-battery, and a self-charging power module. The mobile device includes: a keypad for inputting data; a display unit for displaying stored information, a wireless modem unit for transmitting and receiving data to and from a base station; a location tracking unit for generating location information by communicating with a GPS satellite; an audio processing unit for processing an audio signal; a main battery for supplying power; a memory for storing received information; and a control unit for controlling the display unit, the wireless model unit, the location tracking unit, the audio processing unit, and the memory. The removable sub-battery can be inserted into or removed from an external slot in the mobile terminal (a slot for installing a micro SD, a USIM, and a micro USB), and can extend operating time. Therefore, an emergency signal and location information can be transmitted to a registered terminal in the case that the main battery is dead or removed when the mobile terminal has been lost or stolen. The self-charging power module is configured to charge the sub-battery.</p> |
