<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve ignition in a short time in a burner apparatus for a filter or the like that is used for a diesel engine for removing particles. <P>SOLUTION: The burner apparatus includes a casing 10 including an ignition region R2 for igniting an air-fuel mixture with a fuel and oxygen and a thermal insulation device 11 for surrounding the ignition region R2 and preventing heat release out of the ignition region R2.
