<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic faucet device that does not malfunction due to water nor malfunction due to a false detection in a bottom portion of a sink or a bowl. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic faucet device discharges or cuts off water according to a detection by an object detection sensor 2. The object detection sensor 2 detects the existence of an object in the area between a water discharge part 5 and a bottom portion 7 of a sink 6 or a bowl. A light reflection sensor 21 and an ultrasonic reflection sensor 22 are equipped as the object detection sensor 2. Water is controlled to be discharged when a detection value of reflected light by the light reflection sensor 21 exceeds a predetermined value and a detection distance detected by the ultrasonic reflection sensor 22 is shorter than a predetermined distance.
