<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a controller that can be mounted on a SOC or a discrete component and capable of suppressing electric power consumption more considerably than conventional controllers. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 100 includes: a first control section 10 of which main function is to control various units, for example; a storage section 20 capable of storing various types of data; a second control section 30 capable of processing data; and a power source 50. The first control section 10 includes: a main control section 11 that controls various units, for example; a storage section 12 storing a program to be executed by the main control section 11 and various types of data; and a storage control section 13 that performs control to store a digital signal sent from an A/D converter 41 in the storage section 20 or read the digital signal from the storage section 20.
