<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable transmitter for a radio keyless entry system which is provided with a prevention function for preventing the fraudulent remodelling of an important component such as an electronic component of a transmission circuit, a circuit or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This portable transmitter includes: a circuit board 15 which is provided with the electronic component etc. having a radio transmission function provided at one surface side; a battery holder 14 which is provided with a connection terminal 14d for electrically connecting a stored battery 12 to the circuit board 15; and a holder cover 13 which comprises an inner tubular portion 13d for fitting the battery holder 14, and a cover 13c for covering the electric component etc. provided in the circuit board 15. A unitized component is formed by having the holder cover 13, the battery holder 14 and the circuit board 15 which are integrally assembled.
