<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decolorizing a polyvinyl alcohol resin which can decolorize a discolored polyvinyl alcohol resin by a simple process, a polyvinyl alcohol resin obtained by using the method for decolorizing a polyvinyl alcohol resin, and an optical film, a polyvinyl acetal resin, a binder for a coating material and ink using the polyvinyl alcohol resin. <P>SOLUTION: The method for decolorizing a polyvinyl alcohol resin includes a process of bringing a polyvinyl alcohol resin with hydrogen peroxide with a concentration of 0.01 to 1 mol/L in a basic solution with an OH<SP POS="POST">-</SP>ion concentration of 0.01 to 1 mol/L. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
