To provide a charging/discharging device which can perform charging and discharging of a storage battery efficiently, and a charging/discharging system using the same. The charging/discharging system includes the charging/discharging device and a storage battery unit that includes the storage battery. The charging/discharging device includes a power conversion unit and a controller. The power conversion unit is provided on a charging/discharging path for the storage battery, and configured to perform power conversion. The controller includes a control part that is configured to control charging and discharging of the storage battery with the power conversion unit. The control part of the controller is configured to control the power conversion unit not to perform the charging and discharging of the storage battery when determining that conversion efficiency is low under a prescribed condition, where the conversion efficiency denotes a ratio of output power to input power in the power conversion unit. |
