<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coal blend for use in a coke raw material for iron making that enables coke having higher strength and a larger particle size as compared with that in the past to be produced by improving clearances, without a complex treatment of a fiber, upon production of coke by adding a carbon-containing fiber to coal, and to provide coke for iron making, and a method for producing coke for iron making. <P>SOLUTION: This coal blend for use in coke for iron making is characterized in that a keratin-containing fiber is blended. The coke for iron making is produced by carbonizing the coal blend. The method for producing coke for iron making is characterized in that the coal blend is carbonized in a coke oven of a chamber oven type. It is preferred that a fiber which contains keratin derived from an organism is blended, and a fiber which contains carbonized keratin is blended. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
