<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The antenna has elementary sources (1-10) that are spaced from a constant pitch and are grouped into identical sub-networks, where the elementary sources are identical with each other. Each sub-network synthesizes a beam. The elementary sources of each sub-network are coupled between them by electromagnetic coupling. The successive sub-networks comprise a common elementary source, and are shifted from a distance corresponding to a predetermined number of the pitch higher than or equal to one. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for elaboration of an antenna. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Antenna e.g. patch antenna, horn antenna and dielectric rod antenna, for transmitting information to a satellite-based mobile telecommunication terminal such as telephone or personal digital assistant. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The arrangement of the antenna permits to elaborate large number of multi-beams in a simple manner without using complex beam formation circuits, so that the antenna is compact in size, while assuring high performances of the antenna. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a top view of elementary sources forming a hexagonal mesh structure. 1-10 : Elementary sources.</p> |
