<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag capable of enhancing performance of preventing a passenger from being thrown out of a vehicle while suppressing gas volume needed for expanding and developing. <P>SOLUTION: The curtain airbag 100 is formed in a bag shape from an outer cloth of the outside of a vehicle and an inner cloth of the inside of the vehicle, is stored above the side face part inside of the cabin of the vehicle, and is expanded and developed along the side face part. A plurality of chambers are partitioned by unexpanding areas where the outer cloth and the inner cloth are bonded of an expanding area expanding by gas flowing in. The plurality of chambers include: a front chamber 120 in which the length of the inner cloth 132 is larger than that of the outer cloth 134 in a fore and aft direction of the vehicle and the inner cloth 132 overhangs into the inside of the vehicle more than that of other chambers; and a center chamber 122 in which the length of outer cloth 140 is larger than that of an inner cloth 146 in the fore and aft direction of the vehicle and the outer cloth 140 overhangs the outside of the vehicle more than that of the other chambers.
