PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrode secondary battery which, by more suitably disposing a heat resistant layer fitted separator according to a battery structure, exhibits increased thermal stability, safety and reliability of its electrode body when overcharged or in similar cases.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrode secondary battery 10 comprises: a cathode 30 including a cathode active material layer 34 on both sides of a cathode collector 32; an anode 50 including an anode active material layer 54 on both sides of an anode collector 52; a single-sided HRL separator 70A provided with an inorganic filler containing heat resistant layer 74 on one side of a base material 72; a double-sided HRL separator 70B provided with a heat resistant layer 74 on both sides of the base material 72; and an electrolyte. The nonaqueous electrode secondary battery 10 includes an electrode body 20 consisting of the cathode 30 and the anode 50 which are laminated one on top of another via the single-sided HRL separator 70A or the double-sided HRL separator 70B in such a way that the surface of the cathode active material layer 34 has the heat resistant layer 74 abutting on both sides thereof and that the surface of the anode active material layer 54 has the heat resistant layer 74 abutting on only one side thereof. |
