<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of determining the right or left direction of a touch operation performed to a touch panel without increasing the number of components while suppressing restriction on the layout and the number of menu buttons. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes a display unit 10 for displaying a predetermined content including a plurality of menu buttons, a resistance film type touch panel 11 placed on a front surface of the display unit 10 to output a detection signal in each prescribed period of time, a coordinate value calculation means for calculating at least two two-dimensional coordinates from the detection signal upon an output of a detection signal from the touch panel 11, a gradient calculation means for calculating a gradient of a straight line connecting the two coordinate values obtained by the coordinate value calculation means, and a determination means for determining the left or right direction of a surface touching operation performed to the touch panel 11 based on the gradient calculated by the gradient calculation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
