1. A device for treating a region within a patient's body, comprising:
a shaft defining a proximal region, a distal region and at least one lumen, the shaft having a length sufficient to extend from an insertion area at which the shaft is inserted through the skin into the body to a treatment region within the body; a treatment device associated with the distal region of the shaft, and operably connected to the lumen; and an inflatable insulation device carried by the shaft, the inflatable insulation device having an outer diameter, when inflated, of about 0.3 mm to about 1.0 mm larger than an outer diameter of the shaft; wherein the treatment device and the inflatable insulation device are located on the shaft such that the inflatable insulation device will be located within the insertion area when the treatment device is at the treatment region.
