It is described an expansion dowel with a shank (3) with a central bore (4 ) beginning at this end of the shank (3), which is sitting outside in the expansion dowel, inserted in the drilled hole. The shank (3) of the expansion dowel has at least two longitudinal slots penetrating through its wall. Each longitudinal slot consists of several sub-slots (7, 11, 7 '), and these are separated by bridges (12, 12'). To achieve the high level of stability by such expansion dowel, it is suggested that at least partial slot (7, 71) at its end splits in fork-shape, whereby the neighbouring partial slot (11) extends with his end to this fork-shaped portion (10). Therefore, the bridges (12) are U-shaped and are symmetrical in the circumferential direction, which increases the stability of the expansion dowel considering pulling forces in the pulling, as well as the strength in the torsion. |
